当时女性地位真的挺低，看同时代的电影可知，女性都是要依附男人，女性可以很天真可爱善良，但影片中找不到独立自强，独自解决问题，自我思考等角色；虽然这部片只是在讲女人的猜忌，妒忌，报复，但主题能单独切入到女性，我觉得还是有想法。 影片中为了一瓶水就被枪杀的印第安人能知道当时印第安人在白人眼里的地位是有多低啊。。。 1912年了格里菲斯的作品内容矛盾冲突尖锐，以及最后的获得的救赎成了这段时间格里菲斯的常用手段
